Design v Functionality
New take on the centuries old design workbench with a twist & a turn.
Workbench made of yellow pine with oak surrounds, solid wood laminated & sculpted arches with curves.
It is designed along sailing cruiser yacht lines to mirror the caulk decking & structural shaping they are enamoured with.
Features include front face & end vise, with a comprehensive bench dog layout which was designed to suit carpenters, shipwrights & even sculpturers requiements. The vises used are of the non racking, lever handle quick release specification, which are flush fitted, with full jaw oak encasement.
Being of Moravian design from the 1500 century, they can be assembled in under a minute & likewise de assembled the same, which makes them excellent for storage in a yacht, car or garage.
Whilst having this mobility asset, the locking tusk & tenon joints ensures remarkable sturdy workbenches on par with much heavier static one's such as a Roubo bench.
This particular one boasts ample tool tray capability & has a split top nature favouring the immediate front side work top in a solid laminated pine & oak (90mm or 3.5 inch thick).
The legs & the stretchers are solid pine laminates also using pigmented epoxy waterproof resins, stabilizing the timber & strenghing them as per modern boat building techniques.
